The printer sent the file back
Printers reject artwork for many technical reasons. Your design may look perfectly fine on your screen but still fail the printer’s file checks because of its size, resolution, color setup, bleed, fonts or export settings.
You do not need to understand all the technical language. Send us the file and the message from your printer. We will review both and explain what needs to be corrected.
What we can fix
Every printer and printed product may have different requirements. We review the specifications you provide and prepare the artwork for that particular job.
We correct document dimensions, extend backgrounds where possible, add the required bleed and keep important text and logos safely inside the trim area.
We check whether your artwork has enough resolution for its intended print size. When a simple resolution adjustment is not enough, we will explain whether part or all of the artwork needs to be recreated.
We prepare the artwork in the color mode and file format requested by the printer while protecting the appearance of the original design as closely as possible.
We correct common production problems involving missing fonts, unoutlined text, incorrect margins, misplaced elements and unsuitable PDF export settings.
Some files only require a technical correction. Others may need partial or complete recreation because the original artwork does not contain enough detail or editable information. We will review your file and tell you exactly what is required before sending the invoice.
Files for different print products
We can review and prepare artwork for many common printed products, provided you send us the printer’s specifications or template.
File Ready Studio prepares the artwork only. We do not manufacture or ship the printed product. After receiving the completed file, you can upload it to your chosen printer or send it directly to their production team.
How it works
Send the PNG, JPG, PDF, AI, SVG, ZIP, screenshot or other artwork that the printer rejected.
Paste the rejection message into the Project Notes field. If the printer supplied a template or specification sheet, include it with your uploaded files.
A real designer reviews your artwork, the intended print size and the printer's requirements. Reviews are usually completed within hours.
We send you a clear description of what needs to be corrected, the final deliverables, turnaround time and invoice. You know the price before production begins.
Production begins after payment. You receive the agreed print-ready files, with two revision rounds included based on the original request.
Clear pricing
The final price depends on the number of files, the complexity of the printer’s requirements and whether the artwork needs a technical correction, partial recreation or complete rebuilding.
Starting at $59
There is no charge to submit your file for review. We will confirm the exact price and send an invoice before production begins.
Submitting your file is an order request and does not charge you. We first review the artwork and the printer’s instructions. You will then receive a clear price, deliverables and invoice.
Payment is required before production begins. If we determine that the requested work cannot be completed properly, we will let you know before production. If a payment has already been processed and the work cannot be completed properly, it will be refunded before production begins.
Every completed order includes two revision rounds based on the original request. New design directions or changes outside the agreed scope may require an additional fee.

Some print problems require more than changing a setting or increasing a number. Missing bleed may require extending the artwork. A low-resolution logo may need to be rebuilt as a vector. Text, margins and backgrounds may need to be repositioned carefully.
Your file is reviewed by a real designer who considers how the final artwork should look after printing.
